   If I remember correctly he was a child killer (or a rapist?) and he was never caught so people took the liberty of ending the mad man’s life.

   Yeah and the person that burns Freddy in the remake is Nancy’s Father which makes lot sense because 1428 is where Nancy lives and he always comes back to 1428 elm street.

   I like the remakes more, friday the 13th was good because they made jason more real. It was lame to watch 2 hours of a guy just walking and some how be able to always be behind you.

   halloween was great I thought. It was very disturbing but I think thats what the originals were supposed to be like. A very disturbed psycho path.

   The only good nightmare on elm street was the first one. The others tried to put the humor in which took away the scariness. Freddy is going to be more ruthless now.

    Because he kidnapped and killed the children of Elem Street. So then the parents went after him and burned him (here it seems he was burned in some building), but in Freddy vs. Jason he was burned in his house. But yeah, that’s the whole story behind it. And now he’s back to take revenge against the kids of the parents that killed him.

    Although it seems different because of a totally different cast and crew, this film looks pretty badass. Like Freddy is no longer crackin’ jokes. He’s just getting down and dirty, and just out to kill.

    He was suspected of killing several children in town. The parents chased him into a warehouse and burned him alive. He now comes back as a burned spirit to kill the children of the parents who killed him.

    Err why not? Hes only 63…. It would be like not having Sylvester Stallone cast in the recent rambo…hes 64 and he done it just fine. Its not like Freddy Krueger had a athletic role, argh also as people have said he looks like voldemort.. not krueger. I guess being a hard 80’s horror flick fan it just hits a bit harder.. grrr

    i dont think this movie will be as good as the others. most becouse Robert Englund isn’t in this movie. and, man…. look at freddy. his face looks totaly different. its not the same old freddy. and yeah, he looks like Voldemort in harry potter

    What they should have done for a robert cameo:

    Robert plays a kids parent or friend or someone he could really trust.

    Then in a nightmare, Freddy(Jackie) pretends to be robert to trick the kid, when the kid gets close, Robert should point the glove and talk in his Freddy voice, then you get a reaction shot of the kid. Then Jackie Freddy is shown.

    That would be epic
